Our refrigeration units can run on either 110V or 220V/240V (single or three-phase). We suggest having a dedicated 20A circuit for both voltages.

While connex shipping containers are readily available, they are heavy, difficult to move around, and expensive to operate and maintain. Connexes require 3-phase power and specialized service technicians. BarnBoxes are half the weight, can be moved easily with a tractor, can be serviced by local technicians, and plugged into a 110V power service.

The doors operate the best when the box is placed on level, well draining, compacted gravel. The base of the box is made of thick aluminum tube, so we recommend supporting the corners and mid-spans with masonry blocking.
